Dominick Stella, M.D.
Dr. Dominick Stella graduated from Illinois Benedictine College. At Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, he received his M.D. in 1995. After residency training at Loyola University, Dr. Stella stayed to complete his fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. There he was named both Cardiology Chief Fellow as well as Interventional Chief Fellow. Dr. Stella is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Dominick Stella joins his brothers Joseph and Ronald as interventional cardiologists for Heart Care Centers of Illinois. Their individual areas of expertise dovetail nicely, providing the full range of cutting-edge invasive cardiology services. |
Peter W. Kakavas, M.D.
Dr. Kakavas was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center. He serves as Director of the Echocardiographic and Vascular Laboratories of Heart Care Centers of Illinois and St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island. He is also director of the Cholesterol Modification Program at HCCI. Dr. Kakavas specializes in Echocardiography and has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of patients with lipid disorders. He has published articles on topics relating to echocardiography, cardiomyopathy, and Trans-Myocardial Laser Revascularization. He participates in Multicenter clinical trials of new therapies, and is the Director of Clinical Research at HCCI. Dr. Kakavas is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease with additional certification in Echocardiography. He joined Heart Care Centers of Illinois in 1995. |
